Dental insurance provides coverage for preventative care, basic services, and major procedures. It’s rare for dental insurance to cover implants. Aflac’s primary and supplemental dental insurance plans (which provide additional coverage for costs not covered by your primary insurance) do not cover implants but can reduce your out-of-pocket costs for dental care.

In addition to primary dental insurance, Aflac also offers supplemental dental insurance that helps cover expenses your primary plan doesn’t cover by paying cash benefits. You can also get hearing and vision coverage through Aflac’s Dental, Vision, and Hearing (DVH) Insurance.
Dental implants typically cost between $3,000 to $7,000 for one tooth. This includes the device and the actual surgical procedure. Costs may vary based on the number of implants, the location of implants, and the complexity of the procedure.1
Most dental insurance policies will not cover dental implants. However, some plans may help cover the cost if implants are deemed medically necessary. Aflac’s primary and supplemental dental insurance plans do not currently offer benefits for dental implants. Supplemental plans can pay cash benefits to help cover costs not covered by your primary plan.
